SOFTWARE QA TEST ENGINEERS
DESCRIPTION
Prime ProData, Inc. is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in
technology automation for the meat and food manufacturing industries.
We have full time permanent openings for hands-on Software Test Engineers. The position
requires technical skills, self-motivation, a dedication to quality, and a strong
team ethic. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Develop test plans and procedures for Prime ProData software products and systems
- Identify, analyze, and document all programming errors (software bugs) and operational
characteristics that are inconsistent with stated functional and technical specifications
- Work directly with the development team in establishing product acceptance and performance
criteria for new products
- Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results on
all assigned projects
- Escalate quality concerns to management
Our QA Engineers will work in a team environment with developers, technical writers,
trainers, and a full-service network infrastructure group. Projects range from shop
floor automation through ERP solutions, both mobile and desktop. Continuing education
is a priority at Prime ProData. We offer certification reimbursement, book and study
guide allowances, and attendance at both local and national Microsoft training events.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess most if not all of the following qualifications:
- Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment
- Positive, enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, define problems, and develop
a means or method to resolve them
- 3+ years of software implementation experience with at least 1 year on commercial
software products
- Knowledge of Software Test / Quality Assurance methodologies and application of
those methodologies
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical software engineering principles, methodologies,
and application of same in the real world
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle<
- Experience in testing applications Windows platform
- Strong attention to detail with proven verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft SQL Server experience
- College degree or equivalent experience. Technical degrees preferred
- Microsoft certification a plus
